by | Dec 8, 2017 | Activity

When you choose an active lifestyle, you don’t need a crazy goal like running a marathon or climbing a mountain. Being active is about convenient and simple changes, like walking to the other side of the office instead of sending an email, or getting off the bus a stop or two early. So the next time you feel overwhelmed by your fitness goals, remember these three easy tips to fit more activity into your day.

  1. Fit it in – During your lunch break, take 10 or 15 minutes and walk around the block. Fresh air will clear your mind and get your blood circulating.

  2. Be creative – You don’t need gym equipment when you’ve got stairs. Next time you see an elevator, use it as motivation to a few flights of steps instead. Another idea? Park your car a little farther away from work.

  3. Make it routine – Force yourself to get active at the same time. A daily walk is a great habit to get into. After just a few weeks, your body will start to remind you without a second thought. Routine is one of your best weapons towards fighting for a better you.

Remember, getting fit should feel good, and can even be fun. Pop some headphones in an listen to your favorite tunes while out on a walk, it’s a great way to relax.
