5 Minute Tasty and Healthy Taco Meat

by | Dec 16, 2017 | EZ Guy Recipes

If you’re like us, you load up on Taco Tuesday like it’s your last meal. Tacos really are an amazing food: spicy, fresh and filling. The thing is, when it comes to making tacos at home, you probably don’t know how easy it is to make your own spice mix. This is a great way to avoid the unhealthy ingredients (preservatives and additives) used in store-bought taco mix, and the flavour is bang on.

Here’s how to make 5-minute tasty and healthy taco meat:

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef

  • 1 tsp sea salt

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 2 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 2-3 tsp water

  • fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Fry ground beef until cooked.

  2. Toss with spice mix and add water. Simmer for another minute.

Serve in taco salad, a taco bowl, or wrap. It’s that easy! Next Taco Tuesday, wow your family with this simple recipe.
