Markus is a Data Scientist at ParticipACTION, where he uses evidence to help people in Canada make room to move in their daily lives. He received a B.Sc. in Psychology and Human Biology from the University of Toronto before pursuing his Ph.D. in Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia. As a fan of Toronto’s pro sports teams, he likes to joke that he needs to have many outlets for his emotions. His favourite ways to stay healthy include cycling, Pilates, and making a home-cooked meal.
